Transition to Work is suitable for students with a disability aged 17 to 21 years of age intending to access supported employment. Students learn in an Independent Living House built on the school grounds in 2012.

The aim of the setting is to provide a life skills curriculum, called iTransition which blends academic, daily living, personal/social and occupational skills into integrated lessons designed to help students learn to function independently in society.

It comprises of the following:

  1. Daily Living skills

Including function literacy and numeracy, transport and road safety and the early steps in managing a household.

  1. Personal/Social Skills:

Including communication skills and developing socially responsible behaviour

  1. Occupational Skills

Including planning occupational choices and developing appropriate work skills
