Curriculum
Learning at Suneden is underpinned by our school motto of Learn, Grow, Shine.
There is a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy, communication skills, self-regulation, physical and emotional well-being, independence, and community participation.
Our teaching is always responsive to the specific needs of the students in each class, with teachers carefully taking into account the needs, interests and abilities of the students when planning learning experiences.
Each student also has an Individual Education Plan (IEP) which is developed in partnership with parents. The IEP allows us to set priority goals for each student and these goals are then planned for, implemented and reviewed throughout the year.
The Australian Curriculum forms the basis of all learning at Suneden and is used to plan meaningful, relevant and engaging learning experiences for the students.
This includes learning in the areas of:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- HASS (Humanities and Social Sciences)
- The Arts
